SOUTH-EAST: Imo State Government to send Permanent Secretaries to Singapore for Training

As part of its effort to ensure speedy delivery of good governance to the people of the state, the Imo state government is set to send its top Civil Servants to Singapore on a training programme for optimum service delivery in the civil service.
Gov. Rochas Okorocha
Reports quoting the state Head of Service, Calistus Ekeuze, said the move was to ensure that the state has trained manpower in the top echelon to drive the workforce in line with modern realities.

However, it is necessary to ask how will the state which cannot pay its workforce monthly salaries foot the bill of sending its Permanent Secretaries abroad for training when the Nation has training Institutes like Administrative Staff College and others in the land.
